John F. Affleck-Graves is Professor Emeritus at the University of Notre Dame. He previously served as a Chaired Professor of Finance and as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the University of Notre Dame from 2004 to June 2019, and earlier as Vice President and Associate Provost.

He served on the Notre Dame faculty from 1986 to 2000, the final three years as Chairman of the Department of Finance and Business Economics, and spent one year at Florida State University as the Patty Hill Eminent Scholar in Finance before returning to Notre Dame in 2001. He has authored over 50 finance research articles and holds bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Cape Town.
