Dr. Nita Ahuja serves as Dean of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Vice Chancellor of Medical Affairs, and Professor in the Department of Surgery, and alternating Chair or Vice Chair of the Board of the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority, since May 2025.

She is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of American Medical Colleges, and has served as an elected national representative to the Commission on Cancer for the American College of Surgeons. She joined Abbott's Board of Directors in December 2025.
