Reeve B. Waud founded Acadia Healthcare in 2005 and has served as Chairman of the Board since December 2018. He previously served as the Board's Lead Director from April 2012 to December 2018, and was originally designated as a director by Waud Capital Partners (WCP).

Mr. Waud formed Waud Capital Partners, L.L.C. in 1993 and has served as its Managing Partner since that time. Prior to founding WCP, he was an investment professional at Golder, Thoma, Cressey, Rauner, Inc. (GTCR), a Chicago-based private equity investment group. Before joining GTCR, Mr. Waud was in the Corporate Finance Group of Salomon Brothers Inc and was a founding member of its Venture Capital Group.

He is a trustee and member of the finance committee of the Art Institute of Chicago, and has served on various for-profit and non-profit boards, including the Northwestern Memorial HealthCare finance committee, the John G. Shedd Aquarium, the Economic Club of Chicago, the Illinois State Police Merit Board, and St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire. The Board believes Mr. Waud is qualified to serve as a director because of his extensive knowledge of and experience in the healthcare industry and his general business and financial acumen.
