Linda Rendle is Chair and Chief Executive Officer of The Clorox Company. She has held the chief executive officer role since September 2020 and took on the role of Chair in January 2024. Before becoming CEO, she served as President of the Company from May 2020 to September 2020, and as Executive Vice President – Cleaning, International, Strategy and Operations from July 2019 to May 2020.
Rendle joined Clorox in 2003 and built her career through a succession of commercial and general management roles. She was Executive Vice President – Strategy and Operations from January 2019 to July 2019, and Executive Vice President – Cleaning and Strategy from June 2018 to January 2019. From August 2016 to June 2018 she was Senior Vice President – General Manager of the Cleaning division, adding responsibility for the Professional Products division in April 2017.
Earlier she served as Vice President – General Manager, Home Care (October 2014 to August 2016); Vice President – Sales, Cleaning division (April 2012 to October 2014); Director of Sales Planning – Litter, Food & Charcoal (August 2011 to April 2012); and Director of Sales – Supply Chain (January 2010 to August 2011). She was first elected an executive officer of the Company in 2016. As an employee of the Company, she is the only non-independent member of the Board.
On May 26, 2026, Rendle asked the Board to initiate a CEO search, having decided to step down for health reasons. She is to remain as Chair and CEO while the search is conducted and until a new CEO is appointed, after which she will serve in an advisory role to support the leadership transition.
