A. Shane Sanders served in a series of progressively more responsible leadership positions with Verizon Communications Inc., a telecommunications company, from 1997 until December 2022, including most recently as Senior Vice President of Business Transformation. Alongside Verizon's Chief Security Officer, Mr. Sanders led the implementation of the Verizon Enterprise Security Council, which focused on cybersecurity and IT security risk management.
His leadership experiences in Verizon's accounting and finance organization spanned financial planning and analysis, risk management, audit and public reporting and compliance. His experience overseeing IT security management and incident response informs the Audit Committee's oversight of those functions, and his business transformation experience offers valuable perspectives as Danaher continues to grow and evolve its portfolio.
