Richard M. Olson is a director of Donaldson Company, serving since 2022, and is a member of the Corporate Governance and Human Resources Committees. He is Chairman of the Board of The Toro Company, a provider of outdoor maintenance and beautification products, since 2017, and has served as its President and Chief Executive Officer since 2016.
At Toro, Olson was President and Chief Operating Officer from 2015 to 2016; Group Vice President, International Business, Micro Irrigation Business and Distributor Development from 2014 to 2015; and Vice President, International Business from 2013 to 2014. Since joining Toro in 1986 he has served in various leadership, operations and engineering positions. He also serves on the Board of The Toro Foundation and the Board of Advisors of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology from Iowa State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management.
