Peter Lane has served as a member of Goosehead's Board of Directors since March 2018 and is the Board's lead independent director as well as chairman of the Compensation Committee.
He previously served as chief executive officer of Axip Energy Services LP, formerly known as Valerus, an oilfield services company headquartered in Houston, Texas, from 2010 to 2016. Prior to Axip, he was an operating partner with TPG Global, LLC from 2009 to 2011, and before that spent 12 years at Bain & Company, where he led the Dallas and Mexico City offices as well as the oil and gas practice and became a partner in 2003. He holds a BS in physics from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom and an MBA from the Wharton School.
