James M. Kilts is a veteran consumer-industry leader with more than 40 years leading companies and iconic brands, and has served as Simply Good Foods' Chairman of the Board since July 2017. He is the Founding Partner of Centerview Capital Consumer, founded in 2006, and was Co-Chief Executive Officer of Conyers Park III Acquisition Corp. from 2021 to 2023.

Previously he was Chairman, CEO and President of The Gillette Company from 2001 until its 2005 merger with P&G, at which point he became Vice Chairman of P&G; his tenure is credited with roughly $30 billion of equity value creation and a widely cited turnaround. Earlier he was President and CEO of Nabisco (1998-2000), an Executive Vice President of Philip Morris Companies heading the Worldwide Food Group (1994-1997), and President of Kraft USA and Oscar Mayer. He began his career at General Foods Corporation in 1970.
