Debra A. Cafaro is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ventas, Inc. She has been Chief Executive Officer and a director since 1999 and Chairman of the Board since 2003, and also served as President from 1999 to November 2010.
A recognized industry leader, Ms. Cafaro led the transformation of Ventas into a preeminent S&P 500 company, driving the Company's market capitalization from $0.3 billion when her leadership began in 1999 to over $40 billion in 2026, with annualized total shareholder return of approximately 19% for the 26 years ended December 31, 2025.
Prior to joining Ventas, Ms. Cafaro was President and a Director of Ambassador Apartments, Inc., an NYSE-listed multi-family REIT.
