Thomas 'Tony' K. Brown is an independent director of 3M and former Group Vice President, Global Purchasing at Ford Motor Company.

As Group Vice President of Global Purchasing at Ford Motor Company (1999-2013), Mr. Brown was responsible for approximately $90B of production and non-production procurement for the company's worldwide operations. He provided critical leadership to Ford's turnaround through the auto crisis and transformed the company's supplier relationships, reducing the supply base by two-thirds. He previously held leadership roles at United Technologies (1997-1999) and Digital Equipment Corporation (1976-1991).

Mr. Brown has a BBA in business administration from American International College.
