General Darren W. McDew is a retired four-star general who served 36 years in the United States military before retiring in October 2018, including as Commander of U.S. Transportation Command from 2015 to 2018. He held various leadership roles across the U.S. military including Military Aide to the President and Director of Air Force Public Affairs. He joined Abbott's Board of Directors in 2019.
