Art A. Garcia retired in 2019 as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a commercial fleet and supply chain management solutions company, a position he had held since 2010. Previously, he served as senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer of Ryder from 2005 to 2010.
Mr. Garcia joined Ryder in 1997 as senior manager of corporate accounting and later served as director of corporate accounting and, subsequently, as group director of accounting services. Prior to joining Ryder, he spent 14 years with the Miami office of the accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand LLP as senior manager of business assurance.
His qualifications to serve on the ABM Board include his extensive business, financial and management experience and his experience as the most senior financial officer of a publicly traded multinational company, bringing valuable accounting, financial management, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, environment and climate, and supply chain experience to the Board.
