Raymond L. Conner has served as a director of Alaska Air Group since 2018, where he chairs the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee and is a member of the Safety Committee. He is the former vice chairman of The Boeing Company, capping a four-decade career in commercial aerospace.
Mr. Conner joined Boeing Commercial Airplanes in 1977 and held a number of roles across the sales, finance and material divisions. He served as vice president and general manager of the 777 program (2001 to 2003), vice president of sales for the Americas (2003 to 2007), vice president and general manager of supply chain management and operations (2008 to 2011), and vice president of sales, marketing and commercial aviation services (2012), before becoming president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (2012 to 2017). He was appointed vice chairman of The Boeing Company in 2013.
Since September 2018, Mr. Conner has been an operating advisor to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC, a private investment firm, and since February 2023 he has served as chairman of Pursuit Aerospace, a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components. He holds a BS from Central Washington University and an MBA from the University of Puget Sound.
