Michael J. Cavanagh is Co-Chief Executive Officer of Comcast, a role he has held since January 2026, and has served as President of Comcast since 2022. He has served on the Comcast Board of Directors since January 2026.
He previously served as Comcast's Chief Financial Officer between July 2015 and January 2023. Before joining Comcast he was Co-President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of The Carlyle Group, and earlier held senior leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co., including as Chief Financial Officer during the global financial crisis.
In December 2025, in connection with his appointment as Co-CEO, Comcast entered into a new employment agreement securing his employment through January 1, 2029, with an annual base salary of $2,750,000 and a performance-based restricted stock unit award valued at approximately $35 million.
