Richard J. Tobin is Dover's Board Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer, serving as President and CEO since May 2018 and as a director since August 2016. He has a broad range of industry and functional experiences acquired through regional and global leadership positions, and developed deep expertise with global capital markets through his international finance leadership roles.
He is the former CEO of CNH Industrial NV, a complex international industrial company, where he led efforts to increase efficiencies, innovate through new technologies, expand geographically, and maximize the company's portfolio of businesses. He earlier served as Group Chief Operating Officer of Fiat Industrial S.p.A and as President, CEO and CFO of CNH Global NV, and held the roles of Chief Finance Officer & Head of Information Technology and Chief Operating Officer for North America at SGS Group. Prior to beginning his business career, Mr. Tobin was an officer in the United States Army. He holds a bachelor of arts from Norwich University and an MBA from Drexel University.
