Dr. Regina Benjamin has served on Doximity's board of directors since September 2020. She was appointed the 18th United States Surgeon General in 2009 and served in that role from November 2009 to August 2013, and she is the founder and chief executive officer of BayouClinic, Inc., with approximately 30 years of experience as a practicing family physician. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana, an M.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and an M.B.A. from Tulane University.
