J. Kevin Gilligan was Chief Executive Officer of Capella Education Company, an online education provider, from 2009 until August 2018, where he also served as a director from 2009 and as Chairman from 2010, in each case until August 2018. Following the merger of Capella Education with Strategic Education, Inc., he served as Executive Vice Chairman of Strategic Education from August 2018 until July 2019 and as Vice Chairman from August 2019 to April 2023.
Earlier, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of United Subcontractors, Inc., a national construction services company, from 2004 until 2009, and President and Chief Executive Officer of the Automation and Control Solutions business of Honeywell International, Inc. from 2001 until 2004. He has been a Graco director since 2001 and has served as Chair of the Board since February 2024 and as Chair of the Governance Committee.
