Hagerty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
He began his career with PPG in 1996 at the chemical plant in Natrium, West Virginia, and held operational, marketing and commercial roles across PPG's industrial and automotive OEM coatings businesses, including a 2015 relocation to Rolle, Switzerland, as industrial coatings general manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
