Braun earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration from Capital University.
He began his career at PPG in 1991 as a production engineer at the Delaware, Ohio, coatings manufacturing facility, later joining the Industrial Coatings business in 1994 and holding roles of increasing responsibility across the industrial and architectural coatings businesses.
