Michael W. Lamach has served on the PPG board since 2015 and is PPG's Independent Lead Director. He is the retired Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Trane Technologies plc.
During his career he led a number of businesses serving different end-use markets, including automotive components, controls, security systems and HVAC systems. As former Chairman and CEO of Trane Technologies and previously Ingersoll-Rand plc, he brings experience leading global companies that sell a diverse range of products to industrial and consumer customers, plus experience evaluating business portfolios and transforming businesses; his past service as Chair of the National Association of Manufacturers provides keen insight into challenges facing manufacturers.
