George R. Krouse, Jr. retired in December 2007 after spending 37 years at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he practiced in the corporate, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions areas. He chairs SBA's Nominating and Corporate Governance committee and serves on the Audit Committee.

While at Simpson Thacher he served as Head of the Corporate Department, managing partner and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. He was appointed a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke University School of Law in 2006.
