Giovanni Cecere has served as TransMedics' Chief Commercial Officer since February 2026, succeeding Tamer Khayal, M.D.
Prior to joining TransMedics he was Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of InvoSurg, Inc., a cardiopulmonary equipment distribution business, from 2010 to 2026, and held various sales management roles at Medtronic plc from 2007 to 2010 and again from 2022 to 2026.
Earlier in his career he served in clinical and marketing roles at TransMedics from 2002 to 2006; he holds a B.S. in Biology from Boston College and a Master's Degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion from Northeastern University.
