Thomas J. Gunderson has served on the TransMedics Board since August 2016.
He was managing director and senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray, focused on medical technology companies, from 1992 to 2016, and was a member of the American Heart Association Science and Technology Accelerator Committee from 2015 to 2017.
He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (2015-2020 and 2024-present), as Executive in Residence at the University of Minnesota's Medical Industry Leadership Institute since 2016, and as a director of Merit Medical Systems, Inc. since 2017.
