Thomas W. Sweet is an independent director of 3M and former Chief Financial Officer of Dell Technologies Inc.
As CFO of Dell Technologies (2014-2023), Mr. Sweet oversaw global finance operations and corporate strategy, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, investor relations, global operations, Dell Financial Services, and Dell Technologies Capital. He joined Dell in 1997 and held various positions, including sales leadership roles, before the CFO role, and guided Dell's financial reporting through its five-year privatization period. He earlier held financial leadership roles at Telos Corporation (1994-1997) and began his career at Price Waterhouse (1981-1994).
Mr. Sweet has a BBA in accounting from Western Michigan University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
