Ben Minicucci is President and Chief Executive Officer of Alaska Air Group and Alaska Airlines, and has served as a director of Alaska Air Group since 2020. He leads Air Group's Management Executive Committee.
Mr. Minicucci was elected President and CEO of Alaska Air Group in March 2021 and President of Alaska Airlines in May 2016, becoming President of Air Group in 2021. He joined Alaska Airlines in May 2004 and has held several roles, including Executive Vice President Operations from December 2008 to May 2016 and Chief Operating Officer from December 2008 to November 2019. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Virgin America, Inc. from December 2016 to July 2018, when Virgin America was merged into Alaska Airlines.
Before joining Alaska, Mr. Minicucci held a variety of roles at Air Canada and served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 14 years prior to entering the private aviation sector. He previously served on the board of PG&E Corporation from 2018 to 2019. He holds a BS and an MS from the Royal Military College of Canada and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
