Amy A. Wendell is an independent director of Baxter International, serving on the Board since 2019. She serves on the Compensation and Human Capital Committee and the Quality and Regulatory Compliance Committee, and has more than 30 years of experience in strategic leadership roles in the healthcare industry.
Ms. Wendell most recently served as Senior Advisor for the Healthcare Investment Banking Practice at Perella Weinberg Partners L.P., a global financial services firm, from 2016 to 2019. She earlier served as Senior Advisor for the Strategy and Corporate Finance Practice at McKinsey & Company from 2015 to 2018, and as a member of its Transactions Advisory Board over the same period.
From 1986 to 2015 she held roles of increasing responsibility at Covidien plc, a global healthcare company and manufacturer of medical devices and supplies (and its predecessors Tyco International plc and Kendall Healthcare Products Company), ranging from engineering to product management to business development, most recently as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development and Licensing (2006 to 2015), where she managed all business development including acquisitions, equity investments, divestitures, and licensing. Ms. Wendell currently serves on the boards of Axogen Inc., Hologic, Inc., and Solventum Corporation.
