Michael R. McDonnell is an independent director of Baxter International, appointed to the Board effective February 13, 2026, and a member of the Audit Committee. He is a seasoned financial executive with more than 35 years of experience.
Mr. McDonnell served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Biogen Inc., a global biotechnology company, from August 2020 through February 2025. He earlier served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of IQVIA Holdings Inc. (f/k/a Quintiles IMS) from December 2015 through July 2020, including in the same role at Quintiles Transnational Corporation, which merged with IQVIA in 2016.
Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Intelsat S.A., a global satellite services provider, from November 2008 to December 2015; Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of MCG Capital Corporation, a commercial finance company (CFO from 2004, also COO from August 2006, through October 2008); and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of EchoStar Communications Corporation (doing business as DISH Network Corporation), having earlier been its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from August 2000 to July 2004. He spent 14 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, including four years as a partner, and serves on the board of directors of Merit Medical Systems, Inc.
