About

Daniel A. D'Aniello is a Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Carlyle. He has served on the Carlyle Board since its inception on July 18, 2011 and was Chairman from 2012 until January 1, 2018.

Prior to co-founding Carlyle in 1987, Mr. D'Aniello was Vice President for Finance and Development at Marriott Corporation for eight years, and before that a financial officer at PepsiCo and Trans World Airlines. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Syracuse University and a graduate of Harvard Business School, and served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1971.
