Mark Jenkins became a Co-President of Carlyle effective January 1, 2026, leading the Global Credit and Insurance business. He had served as Head of Global Credit since joining Carlyle in 2016 and is a member of the Leadership Committee, based in New York.

Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Jenkins was a Senior Managing Director at CPPIB, where he led the Global Private Investment group, chaired the Credit and Private Investments Committees, and founded CPPIB Credit Investments. Before CPPIB he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Leveraged Finance Origination and Execution at Barclays Capital, and earlier spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs in senior Fixed Income and Financing roles.
