Michael E. Hurlston is a director of Flex and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Lumentum Holdings Inc., a designer and manufacturer of optical and photonic products enabling cloud, optical networking, and laser applications, since February 2025. From 2019 to February 2025 he was Chief Executive Officer of Synaptics Incorporated, a global leader in IoT semiconductor and human interface solutions, and from 2018 to 2019 he served as CEO and a board member of Finisar Corporation, a leader in optical communications.
From 2001 to 2017 he held various senior leadership positions in sales, marketing and general management at Broadcom Limited and its predecessor corporation, including Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Mobile Connectivity Products / Wireless Communications and Connectivity Division. Earlier, from 1991 to 2001, he held senior marketing and engineering leadership positions at Oren Semiconductor, Inc., Integrated Circuit Systems, Inc., MicroPower Systems Inc., Exar Corporation and IC Works Inc.
He holds advanced degrees in electrical engineering and business administration and serves on the Board of Executive Trustees of the UC Davis Foundation. He currently serves on the boards of Astera Labs, Inc. and Lumentum Holdings Inc., and previously served on the boards of Synaptics Incorporated and Ubiquiti Networks, Inc.
