Barbara R. Snyder has been President of the Association of American Universities, an organization of America's leading research universities, since 2020. She was previously President of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland from 2007 to 2020 and, before that, Executive Vice President and Provost of The Ohio State University.

She served as a faculty member of Ohio State's Moritz College of Law from 1988 to 2007 and held the Joanne W. Murphy/Classes of 1965 and 1973 Professorship from 2000 to 2007. She serves on KeyCorp's Compensation and Organization, Executive, and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees.
