Michael T. Smith is the retired Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Hughes Electronics Corporation, having held such positions from October 1997 until May 2001.
He was a director of FLIR Systems, Inc. from 2002 until its acquisition by Teledyne in May 2021. He is a charter member of the Electronic Industries Foundation Leadership Council and the former chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association.
Mr. Smith is the Lead Director, Chair of Teledyne's Nominating and Governance Committee and a member of its Audit Committee.
