Laura H. Wright is the retired Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Southwest Airlines Co., a passenger airline, a position she held from 2004 to 2012. She has been a director of CMS Energy and Consumers Energy since 2013 and Presiding Director since 2024.
Wright is an active certified public accountant in the state of Texas. At Southwest Airlines she previously served as Vice President and Treasurer and held various other roles, and earlier in her career she was a Manager at Arthur Young & Co. The Board benefits from her extensive technical expertise and experience in financial accounting and reporting, corporate finance and risk management, as well as her experience working in a consumer-oriented business environment.
