Latondra Newton is an independent director of PHINIA, serving on the Compensation Committee. She holds a B.S. from Kettering University.
She served as Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer of The Walt Disney Company from 2017 to 2023. Earlier she held roles at Toyota, including Group Vice President of Social Innovation and Chief Diversity Officer of Toyota Motor North America, Inc. (2014–2017), Chief Program Officer of the Toyota Mobility Foundation (2013–2014), Vice President of Strategic Planning at Toyota Motor North America, Inc. (2009–2013), and various executive positions at Toyota Motor Corporation (1991–2009). While at Toyota she managed the facilities and transportation purchasing department, directed the procurement of capital equipment, building construction, and logistics services for North America, and served as general manager of the Team Member Development Center. She brings global and regional senior leadership and human capital expertise, along with extensive transportation-industry, manufacturing, and operations experience from more than 25 years with Toyota.
