Stuart B. Burgdoerfer is the retired Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of L Brands, Inc., a role he held from April 2007 through August 2021, and served as interim CEO of L Brands' Victoria's Secret subsidiary from May 2020 to February 2021. A CPA whose career included Deloitte, PepsiCo/YUM Brands' Pizza Hut, and The Home Depot, he has been a Progressive director since 2009.

A Progressive director since 2008, he brings more than 40 years of retail-industry management and operational experience in customer trends, brand management, and risk analysis.

Lawton W. Fitt has been Chairperson of Progressive's Board since May 2018, having served as Lead Independent Director before that, and is a retired partner of The Goldman Sachs Group. John P. Sauerland served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Progressive Corporation and retired from the company on July 3, 2026, as disclosed in Progressive's January 28, 2026 Form 8-K. He was one of Progressive's named executive officers for fiscal 2025.

Patrick (Pat) K. Callahan has been President of Progressive's Personal Lines Group since April 2015, managing the company's Personal Auto, Property, and Recreational Lines businesses across both Agency and Direct channels. He joined Progressive in 2002; in June 2026 the company announced he intends to retire from the role in January 2027 after almost 24 years, continuing to advise the company part-time afterward.

Karen B. Bailo was named Commercial Lines President in October 2020 and is responsible for profit and loss, product development, marketing, business development, call-center operations, and IT platform strategy for Progressive's Commercial Lines business. She began her career at Progressive in 1990 as a management trainee and has held leadership roles including personal lines general manager, commercial lines controller, and head of Agency Distribution.

John Murphy assumed the role of Claims President in December 2021 after nearly seven years as Progressive's Customer Relationship Management President, and is responsible for all aspects of claims strategy and resolution across all product lines. He joined Progressive as a claims representative in 1992 and has held various strategy, process, and operations roles across the country.

Jonathan Bauer was named Chief Investment Officer in January 2020 and is responsible for managing Progressive's investment portfolios and strategies, including asset allocation and risk management. He joined Progressive in 2006 and previously worked in research and trading roles for Bank of America Securities in Chicago and London.

Steve Broz was named Chief Information Officer in January 2016 and is responsible for all aspects of information technology at Progressive, including IT strategy, operations, and processes. He joined Progressive in 2001 and has held leadership positions in Customer Experience, Claims Process, Personal Lines, and IT Enterprise Project Management, after earlier serving as a senior business manager at Capital One Financial Corporation.

Bill Clawson was named Chief Human Resources Officer in November 2021 after serving as Progressive's business leader for compensation and benefits, and is responsible for organization-wide people policies and programs. He began his career at Progressive in 2004 in the Personal Lines organization and previously worked at McKinsey & Company and Procter & Gamble.

Heather Day was named Customer Relationship Management (CRM) President in 2026 and is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of the CRM organization, overseeing direct sales, customer service, customer experience design, and the in-house agency. She began her Progressive career in 2005 and has held leadership positions across product management, product development, strategy, and marketing, most recently as General Manager for Agency Distribution.

Lori Niederst was appointed to the newly created role of Chief Personal Lines Officer in June 2026, overseeing Progressive's Personal Lines and Customer Relationship Management organizations. She joined Progressive in 1997 as an analyst in Corporate Finance and previously served as President of Customer Relationship Management (2021-2026) and as Chief Human Resource Officer for five years.

Mari Pumarejo was named Chief Marketing Officer in June 2025 and develops and leads Progressive's overall marketing strategy and creative brand vision, overseeing research, analytics, creative, public relations, digital and social marketing, and related functions. She joined Progressive in 2005 as a Marketing Manager and has held numerous roles across the Corporate HR and CRM organizations.

David Stringer was named Chief Legal Officer in January 2024 and leads Progressive's Legal Group, supporting all business units and the Board of Directors. He joined Progressive in 2004 as Senior Counsel and served as Deputy General Counsel - Corporate Litigation and Employment prior to his current role, having joined the company from Ropes & Gray LLP.

Dan Witalec became Chief Strategy Officer in April 2026 and develops the company's overall corporate strategies and leads future profitable-growth opportunities in new product lines. He joined Progressive in 2004 and has held senior leadership roles across Claims, Marketing, Customer Acquisition, CRM, and Personal Lines Product Management, most recently as Senior Controller in Claims.
